Player of the Week - Brian Dinkelman, McKendree College

Columbia, Mo. - McKendree College's Brian Dinkelman is the AMC Player of the Week in baseball for April 5-11. Dinkelman, who hails from Irvington, Ill., led the Bearcats to a 6-0 record last week, including two Region V wins over Lindenwood University (Mo.) and four victories vs. league foe Harris-Stowe State College (Mo.). He hit .435, totaling ten hits in 23 at-bats. In the four-game sweep of the Hornets, he recorded eight hits and five RBIs. For the week, he scored eight runs, a double, a triple, a home run and six RBIs. In addition, Dinkelman stole two bases, bringing his team-high total to 18.

Pitcher of the Week - Lance Marcum, McKendree College

Columbia, Mo. - Lance Marcum, a sophomore hurler for the McKendree Bearcats, is the AMC Pitcher of the Week in baseball for April 5-11. Marcum made two appearances last week, picking up wins over Lindenwood University (Mo.) and Harris-Stowe State College (Mo.). The Centralia, Ill. native threw his first career no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Lindenwood. He pitched five innings and fanned three opposing batters. In his 7-1 victory over Harris-Stowe, Marcum held a no-hitter through six innings. He gave up an earned run late in the game, but tallied 11 strikeouts.
