Player of the Week - Joe Brooks, Hannibal-LaGrange College

Columbia, Mo. - Joe Brooks, a sophomore second baseman for the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans, is the AMC Player of the Week for April 26-May 2. Brooks, who is a native of Warrenton, Mo., hit .480 for his club last week, totaling 12 hits in 25 at-bats. He posted two doubles, two triples and two dingers, in addition to tallying 14 RBI and scoring 12 runs.
Also nominated: Dustin Richert, McKendree College; Drew Smith, Missouri Baptist University.

Pitcher of the Week - Garrett Bauer, Missouri Baptist University

Columbia, Mo. - Garrett Bauer, a senior pitcher for the Missouri Baptist Spartans, is the AMC Pitcher of the Week for April 26-May 2. The Kenesaw, Ga. native won his ninth game of the season last week, throwing a no-hitter vs. Harris-Stowe State College. He also notched a save vs. the Hornets, striking out the side in the final inning. For the week, Bauer notched 11 strikeouts and gave up only two walks, one hit and no earned runs.
Also nominated: Lance Marcum, McKendree College.
