Player of the Week - Alex Dzatko, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. –  Alex Dzatko, a senior first baseman for Missouri Baptist University, is the AMC Player of the Week for April 4-10. In five games, Dzatko posted a .556 batting average with one home run and eight RBI. He went 10-for-15 during the Spartans' four-game AMC sweep of Hannibal-LaGrange College. Dzatko also had three doubles and nine runs scored for the week with a slugging percentage of .889.

Pitcher of the Week – Nick Bohnenstiehl, McKendree College

Lebanon, Ill. – Nick Bohnenstiehl, a right-hander from McKendree College, has been chosen as the AMC Pitcher of the Week for April 4-10. Bohnenstiehl, a senior from Lebanon, Ill., was nearly perfect in his first start of the season in a 3-0 win at Williams Baptist College. Bohnenstiehl retired the first 17 batters he faced before allowing a bunt single with two outs in the sixth inning. Bohnenstiehl finished with a one-hitter while striking out seven to improve to 2-1 on the season. He also has three saves for the Bearcats in 2005.
