2006 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill. – Brad Arnett of Missouri Baptist University is the March 22 honoree as the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week. Arnett, a junior shortstop from St. Louis, Mo., batted .526 for the week, collecting 10 hits in 19 at-bats. Arnett had two doubles, two home runs and seven runs batted in as well. He scored five runs and had a slugging percentage of .947 as well. Also Nominated: Brian Dinkelman, McKendree College Pitcher of the Week – Ryan Meyler, McKendree College Lebanon, Ill. – Ryan Meyler of McKendree College has been honored as the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 22. Meyler, a junior from O'Fallon, Ill., tossed a complete-game three-hitter in the Bearcats' 4-0 victory at Belhaven College on March 16. Meyler walked just one batter and struck out eight for his second complete game of the season. For the season, Meyler is 4-0 with an earned-run average of 0.75.
