2007 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill. – Tyson Mulvaney of Hannibal-LaGrange College is the American Midwest Conference Baseball Player of the Week for March 19. Mulvaney, a junior first baseman from Salem, Mo., batted .548 in eight games with a slugging percentage of .871. He was 17-of-31 at the plate with six runs scored, four doubles, two home runs and 13 runs batted in. Mulvaney led the Trojans to a 7-1 record on the week. Also Nominated: Cody Zippmann of William Woods University, Brandon Patek of Missouri Baptist University and Kenny Weston of McKendree College Pitcher of the Week – Joey Chrisman, Missouri Baptist University Lebanon, Ill.

Baptist University is the March 19 honoree as the American Midwest
Conference Pitcher of the Week. Chrisman, a freshman from Pacific, Mo., went
2-0 on the week, earning victories against the University of Rio Grande and
Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. In 6 2/3 innings, Chrisman did not allow an
earned run and just three hits. He struck out three batters in his two
appearances. |
