2007 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill.
– Daniel Hartman of Harris-Stowe State University has received
American Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors for April 30. Hartman,
a junior shortstop from Sylmar, Calif., batted .560 (14-for-25)with three
doubles, three triples, three home runs and 15 RBI. Hartman hit safely in
all six Hornet games last week and drove in at least one run in five of the
six contests. In addition, Hartman scored 10 runs and posted a slugging
percentage of 1.280. Hartman blasted two home runs and drove in six during a
9-5 Harris-Stowe win over Mid-Continent College. Early in the week, Hartman
was selected as the Harris-Stowe Male Athlete of the Year. Pitcher of the Week – Billy Brazle, Williams Baptist College Lebanon, Ill.

Pitcher of the Week for April 30 is Billy Brazle of Williams Baptist
College. Brazle, a senior from Little Rock, Ark., collected two wins and did
not allow a run in 10 innings of work last week. Brazle tossed two innings
in the Eagles' 12-5 win against Lyon College, then followed that with a 1-0,
eight-inning shutout victory against McKendree College. Brazle scattered
seven hits and struck out seven against the Bearcats for his third shutout
of the year. Brazle earned his seventh victory in the effort. |
