Player of the Week – Eddie Breuchaud, McKendree College Eddie Breuchaud, an outfielder for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men’s baseball. The left-hander from Greenville, Ill. hit .555 for the week, collecting five hits in nine trips to the plate. In a 14-4 victory over Morningside, Breuchaud totaled two doubles, six RBIs, two runs scored and one three-run homer. Also nominated: Quinton Childers, William Woods University. Pitcher of the Week – Mike Aslinger, William Woods University Mike Aslinger, a 6-3 right-handed hurler from William Woods University, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men's baseball. In his only outing last week vs. NCAA Division II opponent, Quincy College, Aslinger pitched 6.2 innings, striking out four batters and allowing no earned runs.
