*Did not report Player of the Week – Justin Knolhoff, McKendree College Columbia, Mo. - Justin Knolhoff, a sophomore shortstop for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men’s baseball for the week of March 19-25. The 5-11 right hander from Centralia, Ill. batted .485 in eight games last week, logging 16 hits in his 33 trips to the plate. Knolhoff, who bats in the lead off slot for the Bearcats, also collected four doubles and five RBIs for McKendree, while striking out only three times. Pitcher of the Week – Steve Conner, McKendree College Columbia, Mo. – Steve Conner, a senior pitcher for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men’s baseball for the week of March 19-25. The Collinsville, Ill. native made one appearance on the mound for the Bearcats last week, scoring an 8-1 victory. Conner pitched seven innings in the win, striking out four batters while giving up only one earned run and no walks. |
