Player of the Week - Eddie Breuchaud, McKendree College Columbia, Mo. – Eddie Breuchaud, a junior outfielder and pitcher for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men's baseball for the week of March 19-25. Breuchaud recorded a .750 batting average last week, amassing nine hits in 12 appearances at the plate, including a five-for-five performance vs. Southern Indiana University. For the week, he totaled four doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs. Breuchaud hails from Greenville, Ill. Also Nominated: Brent McCoy, Williams Baptist College. Pitcher of the Week – Steven Singleton, Williams Baptist College Columbia, Mo. – Steven Singleton, a senior right-handed hurler for the Williams Baptist College Eagles, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men's baseball for the week of March 19-25. Versus Central Baptist College, the Pocahontas, Ark. tallied the second no-hitter in Williams Baptist College history, notching eight strikeouts. With the seven inning no-hitter, Singleton extended his scoreless inning to 13. Also Nominated: Brandon Musso, McKendree College. |
