Player of the Week – Craig Roehrs, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, Mo. - Craig Roehrs, a junior catcher for Missouri Baptist College, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in men’s baseball for the week of April 19-25. The right-handed slugger from Festus, Mo. recorded two home runs last week that lead to two of Missouri Baptist's six wins. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Spartans trailing by one run vs. Lindenwood University, Roehrs smashed a three-run homer to give Missouri Baptist a 10-8 victory. In a tie ballgame vs. AMC foe Harris-Stowe State College, Roehrs hit a two-run dinger in the top of the sixth inning to secure an eventual win for the Spartans. Roehrs hit .600 for the week, totaling six hits in 10 at bats. In addition to his two home runs, Roehrs added one double and nine RBIs to MBC's offensive attack.

Pitcher of the Week – Hector Santiago, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, Mo. - Hector Santiago, a junior pitcher for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in men’s baseball for the week of April 19-25. Santiago recorded three wins last week, totaling a ERA of 1.76. In his 10.2 innings on the mound for the Spartans, the left-handed pitcher from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico struck out 13 batters and allowed only six hits and two earned runs.
