Player of the Week - Matt Laur, McKendree College Columbia, MO - Matt Laur, a senior center for the McKendree Bearcats, has been named the AMC Player of the Week in men's basketball for the week of Feb. 10-16. In McKendree's 104-75 league win over Harris-Stowe last week, Laur hit 13 of his 15 field goal attempts, scoring 31 points. The effort was Laur's eighth 30-point game this season and pushed the Kinmundy, Ill. native past the 2,600-point mark for his career. Laur also tallied nine rebounds, eight blocked shots and five assists in the victory. Also nominated: Jason Wright, Columbia College. |
