Men's Basketball - Bryant Chambly, Columbia College
Bryant Chambly of Columbia College is the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 29. Chambly, a 6-3 senior forward from St. Louis, Mo., averaged a double-double in three games last week for the Cougars. He chipped in 20 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for Columbia, along with six assists two blocked shots and five steals. Chambly shot 52.2 percent (24-for-46) from the field and 66.7 percent (6-for-9) from the free throw line. He reached double figures in both points and rebounds in all three games last week, including a 24-point, 11-rebound effort in a 78-74 loss at No. 9-ranked Park University.

Women's Basketball - Amber Lewellen, Columbia College
Amber Lewellen emerged from a large pool of nominees to take home American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 29. Lewellen, a 5-9 junior forward from Kirksville, Mo., led Columbia to a pair of AMC victories last week as the Cougars solidified their hold on first place in the league standings. In those two games, Lewellen averaged 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, six steals and three assists. In a pivotal 74-71 win on Jan. 27 at Hannibal-LaGrange College, Lewellen posted 28 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. For the week, Lewellen shot 56 percent from the field (14-for-25) and 80 percent from the free throw line (12-for-15).
