Men's Basketball - Kellen Fernetti, Hannibal-LaGrange College
Kellen Fernetti, a 6-1 junior guard for the Trojans from Hannibal-LaGrange College, is the AMC Player of the Week in men's basketball for Jan. 25-31. Fernetti led Hannibal-LaGrange to a 2-0 mark last week, posting 73 points in two victories for an average of 36.5 a game. The Nauvoo, Ill. native shot 60 percent from the field, dropping in 24 of his 40 field goal attempts. In addition, he was 20-for-31 from beyond the three-point arc and five-for-five from the freethrow line. He set a single-game school record for three-pointers in his team's win over Williams Baptist College, notching 11. Fernetti also tallied seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in Hannibal's two wins.

Women's Basketball - Lisa Kowalewski, Columbia College
Lisa Kowalewski, a junior guard for the Columbia Lady Cougars, is the AMC Player of the Week in women's basketball for Jan. 25-31. Kowalewski, who hails from St. Charles, Mo., averaged 21 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists in Columbia's two wins last week. She shot 65 percent from the field, connecting on 17 of her 26 field goal attempts. In addition, she shot 50 percent from beyond the three-point line, netting five of her ten tries.
