Men's Basketball - Andre Amos, Columbia College
Andre Amos, a guard for the Columbia Cougars, has been named the AMC Player of the Week in men's basketball for Jan. 4-10. Amos averaged 27.5 points a game last week, shooting 62 percent from the field, including 12-of-18 from beyond the three-point arc. In a Jan. 10 match-up vs. Lyon (Ark.) College, Amos, who hails from Little Rock, Ark., dropped in a career-high 38 points, including 26 points in the first half. In Columbia's two wins last week, he also totaled 12 rebounds and 13 assists.

Women's Basketball - Charliss Ridley, Columbia College
Charliss Ridley, a 6-1 forward for the Lady Cougars, is the AMC Player of the Week in women's basketball for Jan. 4-10. Ridley led the Lady Cougars to a 2-1 week, averaging 13.7 points and six rebounds a game. Versus 7th-ranked Brescia (Ky.) University, the junior from Wheaton, Ill. dropped in a team-high 15 points. She also netted 20 points in a one-point overtime win vs. Spalding (Ky.) University.
