Player of the Week - Jennifer McCray, Harris-Stowe State College

[Columbia, MO] - Jennifer McCray, a 5-7 senior guard for the Harris-Stowe State College Hornets, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week of Feb. 1 - 7. McCray averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals per outing for Harris-Stowe, leading her team to a 1-1 record. McCray, who hails from St. Louis, connected on 58 percent of her attempts from behind the three-point arc last week, hitting seven of her 12 attempts. McCray dropped her biggest bomb of the week against conference foe Missouri Baptist College, when she nailed a three-pointer to send the game into a second overtime period, where the Hornets secured a 73-67 victory.

Also nominated: Stephanie Sebacher, William Woods University; Sarah Miller, McKendree College; Vimbayi Muhoma, Hannibal-LaGrange College.
