Player of the Week - Amy Niebrugge, McKendree College

[Columbia, MO] - Amy Niebrugge, a 6-0 junior center for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week of Nov. 16-22. Despite McKendree's 1-2 record last week, Niebrugge managed impressive offensive numbers, averaging 18.3 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Teutopolis, Ill. native also turned in six steals and three assists for the week, while knocking down 16 of 18 from the charity stripe. In addition, her five blocks against Lindenwood University on Nov. 22 set a single game record at McKendree.
Also nominated: Tracy Jentzen, William Woods University; Sarah Howell, Missouri Baptist College.
