Player of the Week - Sarah Howell, Missouri Baptist College

[Columbia, MO] - Sarah Howell, a 5-8 senior guard/forward for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for Nov. 29 - Dec. 5. Howell led the Spartans to a 2-1 record last week, averaging a double-double of 19.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per outing. In addition, the Thayer, Mo. native swiped one steal, blocked two shots and logged eight assists in Missouri Baptist's three contests. Howell shot a scorching 60 percent from the field, hitting 21 of her 35 shot attempts. She connected at the foul line as well, sinking 17 of her 20 free throws.
