Player of the Week - Amy Niebrugge, McKendree College

[Columbia, MO] - Amy Niebrugge, a 6-0 center for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball. The senior out of Teutopolis, Ill. became the first player in McKendree College women's basketball history to score 2,000 points for her career. Niebrugge reached the milestone in McKendree's second of three games last week, a 76-74 victory over Spalding College. In the Bearcats' three outings, Niebrugge averaged 17.7 points, converting on 24 of her 47 shot attempts (51%). In addition, she grabbed 27 rebounds, dished out seven assists, blocked four shots and swiped three steals.
