| Player of the Week - Danna Gilbert, McKendree College [Columbia, MO] - Danna Gilbert, a 5-7 guard for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball. Gilbert proved to be the key component in McKendree's two conference victories last week. The 5-7 senior guard from Florissant, Mo. averaged 20 points, five rebounds and close to four assists, leading the Bearcats to wins over William Woods University and Park University. Gilbert connected on 14 of her 31 field goal attempts (45%), including six of 15 (40%) from behind the three-point arc. In addition, she was nearly perfect from the foul line, netting six of her seven attempts (86%). Gilbert also passed out seven assists, grabbed 10 rebounds and swiped two steals.
