Megan Mercer, a freshman keeper for the Missouri Baptist University
Spartans, has been named the women's soccer player of the week for the
week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 6. Mercer, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, led
the nationally-ranked Spartans to a league victory over William Woods on
the road, tallying three saves and allowing just one goal. Against,
William Penn University, who is ranked No. 23 in the latest NAIA Top 25
Poll, Mercer recorded a shutout, snagging seven saves in 110 minutes in
goal. |
