Player of the Week - Tanner Mills, Columbia College Lebanon, Ill.
- Tanner Mills, a goalkeeper from Columbia College, has been named the
American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for the first week of the
2006 season. Mills, a sophomore from Columbia, Mo., recorded
back-to-back shutouts in the Cougars' two wins over nationally ranked
opponents on the week. Against sixth-ranked Hastings College, Mills made
one save in the 1-0 win. He followed that with two saves against No. 23
ranked Bellevue University in the Cougars 2-0 win. Columbia is 2-0 to
start the season. Mills was named honorable mention All-Conference as a
freshman last season.
