Player of the Week - Andy Gelven, Columbia College [Columbia, MO] - Andy Gelven, a
forward for the Columbia College Cougars, has been named the American Midwest Conference
men's soccer Player of Week for the week of Oct. 11 through Oct. 17. Gelven led his
team to an perfect 3-0 record last week, including victories over two top-25 opponents,
Birmingham Southern (#3) and Berry College (#21). The St. Louis native was responsible for
both goals in Columbia's 2-0 win over Birmingham Southern, logging them in the first 10
minutes of play. He also assisted on a another goal in a 4-0 win over AMC foe, Missouri
Baptist College. |
