From Harris-Stowe State College, Lindsay Kennedy, a sophomore forward for the Hornets, is the 1999 recipient of the AMC Newcomer of the Year award. Kennedy, a native of Alton, Ill., led her team to a third place finish in the AMC, scoring 19 goals and adding 11 assists. In her final game of the regular-season, Kennedy set a new single-season record at HSSC, scoring her 19th goal in only 16 games.
