Player of the Week - Erin Jewell, William Woods University

Columbia, Mo. - Erin Jewell, a junior forward for the William Woods University Owls,  has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's soccer for the week ending Oct. 21, 2001. Jewell, a native of Kelso, Wa., scored five goals and contributed one assist last week, leading the Owls to an undefeated 2-0 record vs. Region V opponents. Against Central Methodist College, Jewell had an assist and two goals, including the game winner. Versus William Jewell College, the top squad in the region and seventh-ranked team in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, Jewell notched a hat trick, helping hand the Cardinals their first loss of the season.
