Player of the Week - Christy McPherson, William Woods University Columbia, Mo. - Christy
McPherson,
a freshman midfielder for the William Woods University Owls, has
been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's
soccer for the week ending Oct. 28, 2001. McPherson, who hails from Vista,
Cal., totaled one goal and one assist last week. In addition to recording
a goal in WWU's 2-0 win over Missouri Baptist College, McPherson's
consistent defensive play in the midfield helped the Owls to two shutouts
on the week.
