Player of the Week – Tara Fiene, William Woods University Columbia, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for March 24-30 is Tara Fiene from William Woods University. Fiene hit .500 in seven games last week, knocking 12 hits in 24 at-bats. She tallied just three strikeouts, while scoring five runs for the Owls. Also Nominated: Megan Kuntze, Columbia College; Shauna Holcmann, McKendree College. Pitcher of the Week – Monica Mueller, Columbia College Columbia, Mo. – Monica Mueller, a sophomore hurler for Columbia College, has been named the AMC Pitcher of the Week for March 24-30. Mueller, who hails from Hannibal, Mo., threw 23 innings for the Cougars last week, fanning 21 batters while walking just seven. She recorded an ERA of 0.64, giving up only one earned run in efforts vs. No. 5 University of Mobile, NCAA Division II University of West Florida and No. 19 William Woods.
