Player of the Week – Kacie Tietgen, William Woods University

Columbia, Mo. – Kacie Tietgen, a sophomore catcher for the William Woods University Owls, is the AMC Player of the Week in softball for April 21-27. Tietgen knocked five hits in seven at-bats last week, tallying a .714 batting average. She was four for four in her club's 12-3 win over McKendree in the league postseason tournament, scoring three runs and posting a double, a home run and four RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week – Amy Maurer, McKendree College

Columbia, Mo. – Amy Maurer, a sophomore hurler for the Bearcats from McKendree, is the AMC Pitcher of the Week for April 21-27. Maurer, a native of Florissant, Mo., pitched 12.2 innings last week, giving up just one earned run and two walks, while fanning 12 opposing batters. For the week, Maurer tallied a 0.55 earned run average.
