Player of the Week – Ashley Windmiller, William Woods University

Columbia, Mo. – William Woods University catcher Ashley Windmiller is the AMC Player of the Week for April 12-18. Windmiller hit .542 in seven Owl wins last week. Versus 28^th-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University, she was five-for-six at the plate with two home runs. In addition, against conference foe Williams Baptist College, she was seven-for-seven. For the week, she totaled two doubles, two dingers and eight RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week – Amy Maurer, McKendree College

Columbia, Mo. – Amy Maurer, a junior pitcher for the McKendree Bearcats, is the AMC Pitcher of the Week for April 12-18. The Florissant, Mo. native notched back-to-back shutouts last week, logging a 2-0 victory over Viterbo College and a 1-0 shutout vs. 25^th-ranked William Penn University. In 14 innings, she allowed no runs and no walks, while fanning 13 opposing batters. Maurer’s 13 strikeouts pushed her season total past 100 for the third straight season.
