Player of the Week – Heather Lang, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. – Heather Lang, a senior first baseman, from Columbia College has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 18-24. Lange, from Lee's Summit, Mo., hit .667 on the week with three runs batted in, seven runs scored and four stolen bases. She compiled 16 hits in just seven games in helping the Cougars to an undefeated week. Lang went three-for-three with two runs scored in back-to-back wins over conference opponent Illinois-Springfield. Against Panhandle State Lange picked up a four hit game while driving in the game winning run and stealing two bases. She also picked up the game-winning RBI in a 1-0 win over nationally ranked St. Gregory's University.

Pitcher of the Week – Monica Mueller, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. – Monica Mueller, a senior pitcher from Columbia College, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of Apirl 18-24. Mueller, from Hannibal, Mo., was 4-0 on the week with a 0.64 earned-run average. Mueller allowed just 13 hits while striking out 29 in 22 innings pitched. Against Illinois-Springfield she pitched a two-hit complete game shutout, striking out 13. She also pitched another complete game two-hit shutout against nationally ranked St. Gregory's University.
