Week – Lindsey Williams, Columbia

Williams of Columbia
College has been named
the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for April 24. Williams, a
sophomore outfielder, hit .500 with one home run and 12 runs batted in while
helping her team to a 7-1 record on the week. Williams also added eight runs
scored and eight stolen bases. In the first game of a double header against Missouri Baptist University
she went three-for-four with two runs scored and three runs batted in. She
followed that game with a two-for-four game with four RBI.

Pitcher of
the Week – Jennifer Golden, William
Woods University
Lebanon, Ill.
– Jennifer Golden
of William Woods University
has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week for April
24. Golden, a freshman from Eugene,
Mo., was 2-1 on the week while
compiling 21 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched. Against Central Methodist
University she threw a
no-hitter, going five innings while striking out six. On the week, she
allowed just nine hits and six walks.
