Player of the
Week – Angie Maue, McKendree
College

Maue, of McKendree
College has been named
the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for May 1. Maue, a
freshman catcher from Trenton,
Ill., hit .375 with three home
runs and eight runs batted in on the week. She helped carry the Bearcats to
the AMC Post-Season Tournament Championship game, by hitting three home runs
and driving in six runs in the team’s six games in the tournament. During the
tournament she tied and broke the school’s single season home run mark. In
the AMC Championship game she hit a three-run home run, her 15th of
the season and giving her 65 runs batted in on the season. She also scored
six times on the week and had a slugging percentage of .719.

Pitcher of
the Week – Jennifer Golden, William
Woods University
Lebanon, Ill.
– Jennifer Golden
of William Woods University
has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the second
consecutive week. Golden, a freshman from Eugene, Mo.,
was 3-0 on the week while guiding her team to an undefeated run in the AMC
Post-Season Tournament. Golden threw 24 innings, allowing just 14 hits and
only two earned runs while striking out 28. Against Columbia College
she went 10 innings, allowing just six hits while striking out 10. In the AMC
Championship game against McKendree
College she went seven
innings allowing four hits and no earned runs.
