2007 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill. – Ashley Windmiller of William Woods University is the April 16 recipient of American Midwest Conference Softball Player of the Week honors. Windmiller batted .571 on the week with two home runs and nine RBI to help lead the Owls to a perfect 4-0 record. Windmiller was 8-of-14 at the plate, with five of the eight hits going for extra bases. She also scored six runs in the four games. Windmiller hit for the cycle with six RBI in a 27-1 win against Stephens College. Also Nominated: Stephanie Kababie of Columbia College and Rachael Ostertag of McKendree College Pitcher of the Week – Katie McMahon, Columbia College Lebanon, Ill.

Katie McMahon of Columbia College has been selected as the American Midwest
Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. McMahon earned the April 16 award
by tossing a gem in a 4-0 win against the University of Illinois at
Springfield. McMahon pitched a complete-game three hitter with just one walk
and 11 strikeouts. McMahon remained undefeated in AMC play this season and
pushes her season record to 10-5. |
