2007 Player and Pitcher of the Week Honorees

Lebanon, Ill. – For the second week in a row, Ashley Windmiller of William Woods University has been named the American Midwest Conference Softball Player of the Week. Windmiller, a senior designated hitter from Salisbury, Mo., picked up the April 23 award thanks in part by hitting .444 (12-for-27) with three home runs and 10 runs batted in. Windmiller scored 11 runs and slugged .815 in leading the Owls to a perfect 8-0 record on the week, including a 6-0 mark in AMC play. Windmiller currently leads William Woods in batting average (.460), hits (63), triples (3), home runs (13), runs batted in (53), slugging percentage (.839) and on-base percentage (.516). Pitcher of the Week honors. Frevert, a senior from Columbia, Mo., picked up
four of the Owls' eight victories last week, allowing just two earned runs
in 19 2/3 innings of work. Frevert walked just five batters and struck out
19 batters in the four games. She did not give up an earned run in her three
AMC outings on the week. For the year, Frevert is 9-2 overall with an ERA of
1.67. |
