Player of the Week – Kristina Jones, Columbia College

Columbia, Mo. – Kristina Jones, a sophomore shortstop for the Columbia College Cougars, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women’s softball for the week of March 26 - April 1. Jones recorded a .322 batting average last week, tallying 10 hits in 31 appearances at the plate. The Jefferson City, Mo. native totaled four runs scored, two doubles, one home run and five RBIs. In addition, in two games vs. ninth-ranked University of Mobile (Ala.) and two games vs. tenth-ranked Spring Hill College (Ala.), Jones was seven for 11.

Pitcher of the Week – Erin Tabing, McKendree College

Columbia, Mo. – For the second consecutive week, Erin Tabing, a senior left-handed pitcher for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in women’s softball. In 15 innings on the mound last week, Tabing notched an ERA of 1.40. In addition, she allowed just three earned runs and three walks. The Coutterville, Ill. native recorded the last three outs for the save vs. Lindenwood University, ranked No. 5 in last week's NAIA Top 25 Rating.
