Player of the Week – Jennifer Kamp, Columbia College

Columbia, Mo. – Jennifer Kamp, a senior shortstop for the Columbia College Cougars, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women’s softball for the week of April 19-25. Kamp totaled a batting average of .576 in all of Columbia's games last week and a .714 batting average in the Cougars two games vs. AMC opponents. Kamp, who hails from Ellsville, Mo., logged her eleventh triple of the season last week, setting a new school record. In addition, she added 12 hits in 21 at bats, nine RBIs, one double and three stolen bases.

Pitcher of the Week – Amy Gastineau, William Woods University

Columbia, Mo. – Amy Gastineau, a senior pitcher for the William Woods University Owls, has been named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in women’s softball for the week of April 19-25. In Gastineau's two outings last week, she recorded a zero ERA. The right-handed hurler from New Bloomfield, Mo. threw a two-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over AMC foe, Missouri Baptist College. In addition, Gastineau recorded a one-hit shutout over nationally ranked Columbia College, leading the Owls to a 4-0 victory in the championship game of the Cougar Classic. In her 14 innings on the mound last week, Gastineau struck out nine batters and walked only four.
