Player of the Week - Sandra Gomez Botero, Columbia College

Columbia, MO - Sandra Gomez Botero, a 6-1 outside hitter for the Columbia Cougars, has been named the women's volleyball player of the week for the week of Sept. 24-29. Gomez Botero, who is a native of Itaguia, Colombia, totaled 16 kills in Columbia's two league victories last week. She converted 66 percent of her attacks into kills, committing just one hitting error. In addition, Gomez Botero totaled ten digs and five service aces.

Setter of the Week- Heather Roberts, William Woods University

Columbia, MO - Heather Roerts, a 5-7 setter for the William Woods University Owls, has been named the AMC Setter of the Week for the week of Sept. 24-29. The sophomore from Koloa, Hawaii led her squad to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 12.5 assists per game. In addition, Roberts compiled four service aces, seven kills and ten digs.
