Player of the Week - Doris Wefwafwa, Columbia College

Columbia, Mo. – Doris Wefwafwa, a sophomore outside hitter for the Columbia College Cougars, is the AMC Player of the Week in volleyball for Oct. 11-16. Wefwafwa, who hails from Nairobi, Kenya, led the sixth-ranked Cougars to a 6-0 week, including wins over No. 14 Lubbock Christian University and No. 7 Houston Baptist University. Wefwafwa played in 18 games and put down 100 kills in 225 attempts, while committing just 13 attack errors. She averaged 5.6 kills and 5.3 digs a set in addition to totaling six service aces, four solo blocks and six assist blocks.

Setter of the Week - Tracie Ford, Columbia College

Columbia, Mo. - The AMC Setter of the Week for Oct. 11-16 is Tracie Ford from Columbia College. The Blue Springs, Mo. native totaled 204 assists in 15 games last week, averaging 13.6 a set. In addition, the senior setter totaled 17 kills, seven service aces, 46 digs and nine blocks. For her efforts at the Houston Baptist University Invitational over the weekend where the Cougars dropped two nationally-ranked squads in three sets, Ford was named to the all-tournament squad.

Libero of the Week - Ashley Blaske, Missouri Baptist University

Columbia, Mo. – Ashley Blaske, a defensive specialist for the Spartans from Missouri Baptist University, is the Libero of the Week in AMC for Oct. 11-16. The Defiance, Mo. resident led the Spartans to a 2-1 week, including two American Midwest Conference victories. Blaske played in ten games and racked up 55 digs for an average of 5.5 a game. In addition, she notched 68 passes and committed only seven errors. Blaske was almost perfect from behind the service line as well, tallying only one error in 38 attempts.
