Player of the Week - Meredith Myers, William Woods University

Lebanon, Ill. – Meredith Myers, a member of the William Woods University volleyball squad, has been named the AMC Player of the Week for Sept. 26. Myers, a junior from Rolla, Mo., recorded 51 kills in four matches and hit .321 for the week. She also posted 21 digs and 16 blocks in leading the Owls to a 4-1 start in league play. Myers' best all-around effort for the week came in a tough five-game loss at Illinois-Springfield, where she collected 18 kills, five digs and six blocks.

Also nominated: Jessica Egelhoff of Missouri Baptist University, Audra Roach of the University of Illinois-Springfield, Nancy Sikobe of Columbia College, and Tricia Winter of McKendree College.

Setter of the Week - Luana Branco, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. - Luana Branco of Columbia College has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for Sept. 26. Branco, a freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, dished out 74 assists as the Cougars swept a pair of AMC matches last week. Branco also had nine kills, 14 digs and four service aces to go along with three blocks. This is the third time in 2005 that Branco has been named the AMC Setter of the Week.

Also nominated: Shannan Swiney of Missouri Baptist University, and Lindsay Amerson of McKendree College.

Libero of the Week - Ashley Blaske, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. – Ashley Blaske of Missouri Baptist University is the American Midwest Conference Libero of the Week for Sept. 26. Blaske, a senior from St. Charles, Mo., was instrumental in the Spartans' sweep of AMC foe McKendree College. She had 19 digs and posted two service aces as Missouri Baptist remained undefeated in AMC play at 3-0.

Also nominated: Jenna Holdmeyer of Columbia College, and Marcy Gibson of McKendree College.
