Player of the Week - Tricia Winter, McKendree College Lebanon, Ill. – Tricia Winter, a middle hitter for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for Oct. 10. Winter, a 6-1 senior from Germantown, Ill., registered 34 kills and 42 blocks in three matches last week for McKendree. She averaged 11.3 kills and 14 blocks per match in helping the Bearcats to AMC victories against Hannibal-LaGrange College and the University of Illinois-Springfield. Winter had a hitting percentage of .424 for the week and posted double figure blocking totals in all three matches. - Shannan Swiney of Missouri Baptist University has been selected as the
American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for Oct. 10. Swiney, a 6-0
junior from St. Louis, Mo., handed out 87 assists in AMC matches against
William Woods University and Columbia College. She also collected 10 kills
and a hitting percentage of .333. Swiney also had 10 digs and three
assisted blocks. Libero of the Week - Tracey Abell, Missouri Baptist University Lebanon, Ill. – For the second consecutive week, Tracey Abell from Missouri Baptist University is the American Midwest Conference Libero of the Week. Abell, a 5-5 freshman from St. Charles, Mo., had 64 digs in two AMC matches last week. She also posted 54 pass receptions and a pair of service aces. Also nominated: Jenna Holdmeyer of Columbia College. |
