Player of the Week - Rose Obunaga, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. – Rose Obunaga of Columbia College has been picked as the AMC Player of the Week for Oct. 31. Obunaga, a 6-0 senior outside hitter from Nairobi, Kenya, amassed 105 kills in guiding the Cougars to four wins in five matches last week. She had a hitting percentage of .364 in leading Columbia past NAIA-ranked foes University of St. Mary and Lee University. Obunaga also had 91 digs, 27 solo blocks and six service aces for the week.

Also nominated: Ana Mercado of Missouri Baptist University and Tricia Winter of McKendree College.

Setter of the Week - Shannan Swiney, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. - Shannan Swiney of Missouri Baptist University is the Oct. 31 honoree as AMC Setter of the Week. Swiney, a 6-0 junior from St. Louis, Mo., dished out 221 assists in five matches last week, including a high of 66 against Campbellsville University. She did not have a match with fewer than 35 assists in leading the Spartans to a 4-1 mark. Swiney also chipped in with 13 kills, 39 digs, eight service aces and 15 blocks for the week.

Libero of the Week - Jenna Holdmeyer, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. – Jenna Holdmeyer of Columbia College has been selected as the AMC Libero of the Week for Oct. 31. Holdmeyer, a 5-6 senior from Mathasville, Mo., helped the Cougars to a 4-1 record last week, including wins against nationally-ranked opponents University of St. Mary and Lee University. In five matches, Holdmeyer collected 51 digs and did not commit a pass reception in 67 chances. In addition, she posted 10 service aces.
