Player of the Week - Lindsay Nagl, Harris-Stowe State University

Lebanon, Ill. – Lindsay Nagl, a 5-6 sophomore outside hitter from Harris-Stowe State University, edged out four other nominees for American Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors for Sept. 5. In four matches, Nagl posted 69 kills and a hitting percentage of .331. She also had 76 digs, 12 service aces and 14 blocks to earn a spot on All-Tournament team at the Illinois College Invitational. Nagl is from St. Louis, Mo.

Setter of the Week - Shannan Swiney, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. - Shannan Swiney of Missouri Baptist University is the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for Sept. 5. In helping the No. 6-ranked Spartans jump out to a 6-0 start this season, Swiney dished out 229 assists for an average of 12.7 per game. In addition, Swiney has collected 19 kills, 50 digs, four service aces and 17 blocks. Swiney is a 6-2 senior from St. Louis, Mo.

Libero of the Week - Tracey Abell, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. – Tracey Abell of Missouri Baptist University has earned AMC Libero of the Week honors for Sept. 5. Abell, a 5-4 sophomore from St. Peters, Mo., collected 140 digs and had 11 services aces for the Spartans last week. Abell had a high of 31 digs against NCAA Division II opponent Quincy University in leading Missouri Baptist, ranked No. 6 in the NAIA pre-season poll, to a perfect 6-0 record on the week.
