Player of the Week - Megan Naborowski, University of Illinois-Springfield

Lebanon, Ill. – Megan Naborowski of the University of Illinois-Springfield has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for Sept. 18. Naborowski, a 5-9 junior outside hitter from Bloomington, Ill., led the Prairie Stars to their first AMC victory of the season at Williams Baptist College with 21 kills, 22 digs and three service aces in the contest. For the week Naborowski had 30 kills and a hitting percentage of .271. She also collected a pair of assists, 29 digs and four blocks.

Also nominated: Rael Rotich of Columbia College, Katelyn Kombrink of McKendree College, Ana Mercado of Missouri Baptist University and Kari Boeckman of Hannibal-LaGrange College

Setter of the Week - Luana Branco, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. - For the second week in a row, Luana Branco of Columbia College has been named the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week. Branco, a 5-10 sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, helped spark the Cougars' 3-2 victory over No. 6-ranked Missouri Baptist University with 58 assists and 16 digs. For the week, Branco posted 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .364. She also had 87 assists, 27 digs, two service aces and two blocks.

Libero of the Week - Marcy Gibson, McKendree College

Lebanon, Ill. – Marcy Gibson, a defensive specialist from McKendree College, is the Sept. 18 choice for AMC Libero of the Week. Gibson, a 5-9 senior from Salem, Ill., handled 75 digs in four matches last week, leading the Bearcats to a 3-1 record. Two of those victories came in AMC play against Hannibal-LaGrange College and the University of Illinois-Springfield. Gibson also had nine service aces for the week along with 71 pass receptions.

Also nominated: Shari Tuttle of Columbia College, Carolina Miller of Hannibal-LaGrange College and Tracey Abell of Missouri Baptist University
