Player of the Week - Ana Mercado, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. – Ana Mercado from Missouri Baptist University is the repeat winner of the American Midwest Conference Volleyball Player of the Week award. Mercado, a 6-3 senior outside hitter from Tepic, Mexico, recorded 132 kills in helping the Spartans will all five matches last week. Mercado had a hitting percentage of .431 and added 80 digs, 33 service aces and 16 blocks for the week. She posted a triple-double in a match against William Jewell College with 23 kills, 10 digs and 11 service aces.

Setter of the Week - Luana Branco, Columbia College

Lebanon, Ill. - Luana Branco of Columbia College is the Oct. 2 honoree as the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week. Branco, a 5-10 sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, averaged 11 assists per game as the Cougars swept all four of their matches last week. Branco posted 126 total assists to go along with 32 kills, 48 digs, six aces and 10 blocks. Branco notched a triple-double against Hannibal-LaGrange College with 11 kills, 33 assists and 16 digs.

Libero of the Week - Tracey Abell, Missouri Baptist University

Lebanon, Ill. – For the second straight week, Tracey Abell of Missouri Baptist University is the AMC Libero of the Week. Abell, a 5-4 sophomore from St. Peters, Mo., helped lead the Spartans to a perfect 5-0 record last week. Abell posted 136 digs and had a reception percentage of .890 for the week. In an AMC victory at McKendree College, Abell had 40 digs, which was her high for the week. In addition, Abell collected eight service aces, including three against Lindenwood University.
