Player of the Week - Amanda Dorries, McKendree College

Columbia, MO - Amanda Dorries, a junior middle hitter for the McKendree College Bearcats, is the AMC women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 5 through Oct. 10. Dorries, who leads the AMC in kills per game, continued her offensive tear last week as she amassed 75 kills in 166 attempts in 21 games. In addition, the Breese, Ill. native did the job defensively for the Bearcats, totaling 10 solo blocks, 12 assist blocks and 61 digs.
Also nominated: Liz Hughes, Missouri Baptist College; Mariuska Hamilton, Columbia College; Stephanie Sebacher, William Woods University.

Setter of the Week -Michelle Henry, William Woods University

Columbia, MO - Michelle Henry, a junior setter for the William Woods University Owls, is the AMC women's volleyball Setter of the Week for the week of Oct. 5 through Oct. 10. In WWU's eight games last week, Henry racked up 69 assists for an average of 8.63 per game. In addition, she managed seven kills in only 10 attack attempts, while committing only one attack error. Henry also totaled 17 digs for an average of 2.13 per game.

Specialist of the Week -Jen Freund, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, MO - Jen Freund, a junior outside hitter for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, is the AMC women's volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week of  Oct. 5 through Oct. 10. Freund racked up 53 kills in 149 attempts last week, helping her team to a 4-1 record. In addition, the Eureka, Mo. native dominated defensively at the net for the Spartans, totaling six solo blocks and 14 assist blocks.
Also nominated: Michelle Roever, McKendree College; Betsy Cast, William Woods University.
