Player of the Week - Stephanie Burke, McKendree College

[Columbia, MO] - Stephanie Burke, a 5-11 middle blocker for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for volleyball. Burke recorded 69 kills last week in 137 attempts, while committing only 11 hitting errors. In addition, the Belleville, Ill. native racked up nine solo blocks and 16 assist blocks, leading the Bearcats to a 4-1 record for the week. Burke also contributed to McKendree's defensive effort, adding 41 digs.

Setter of the Week - Tara Thomure, William Woods University

[Columbia, MO] - Tara Thomure, a 5-5 sophomore from William Woods University, has been named the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week. The St. Charles, Mo. native accumulated 193 assists last week, bringing her average per game to 10.72. Thomure also added 33 digs, five service aces and six kills to her totals for the week.

Specialist of the Week - Betsy Cast, William Woods University

[Columbia, MO] - Betsy Cast, a defensive specialist for William Woods University, has been named the AMC Specialist of the Week. Cast, who hails from Holden, Mo., recorded 67 digs last week, including 31 vs. conference foe McKendree College. The 5-7 sophomore averaged 3.89 passes per game for the Owls, completing 96 percent of her attempts with perfect accuracy. Cast also provided three service aces and two kills to WWU's attack.
