Player of the Week - Kenny Moreno, Columbia College Columbia, MO - Kenny Moreno, a 6'3" freshman middle hitter for the Columbia Cougar volleyball team, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week in women's volleyball for the week ending Oct. 28, 2001. Moreno led the top-ranked Cougars to a 2-0 record last week, scoring league victories over William Woods University and Williams Baptist College. In 35 attack attempts, Moreno converted 22 into kills, while committing only three errors. In addition, the Medellin, Colombia native notched 12 service aces, 10 digs and four blocks. Also nominated: Meleisha Purcell, Missouri Baptist College; Jennifer Curry, William Woods University; Sherri Eaton, McKendree College. Setter of the Week- Olga Correa, Columbia College Columbia, MO - Olga Correa, a 5'8" junior setter for the Columbia Cougars, is the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, 2001. The Medellin, Colombia native totaled 79 assists in six games, averaging 13.2 per contest. In addition, Correa notched seven service aces, six digs and seven kills.
