Player of the Week - Amanda Dorries, McKendree College

Columbia, MO - Amanda Dorries, a senior middle hitter for the McKendree College Bearcats, has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for women's volleyball.  Dorries broke her own school record for kills last week, reaching the 541 mark. In addition, the Brease, Ill. passed the 1,000-kill mark for her career. Dorries led the Bearcats to a five-game win over seventh-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic, totaling 37 kills and seven blocks. For the week, Dorries totaled 157 kills, 43 digs and 24 blocks.

Setter of the Week - Alana Groom, William Woods University

Columbia, MO -  Alana Groom, a 5-7 setter for the William Woods University Owls, is the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for the week ending Oct. 29.  In the WWU's only match of the week, Groom recorded 25 assists for an average of 8.3 per game. In addition, Groom, who hails from Lee's Summit, Mo. notched 12 digs and one service ace.
