Player of the Week - Stephanie Sebacher,
William Woods University

[Columbia, MO] - Stephanie Sebacher, a sophomore middle hitter for the William Woods University Owls, has been named the women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26 - Nov. 1. Sebacher, a 6-0 native of Jonesburg, Mo., racked up 82 kills, 31 blocks, 43 digs and eight service aces last week. In WWU's upset victory over Peru State University, who is currently ranked #3 in the Midwest Region, Sebacher totaled 25 kills in 37 attempts. In addition, she amassed a career-high 13 blocks versus Bellevue University. For her efforts at the Bellevue Halloween Classic Tournament, Sebacher took home Most Valuable Player honors.

Setter of the Week - Yang Zhe, Columbia College

[Columbia, MO] - Yang Zhe, the 5-11 setter for the Columbia College Cougars, has been named the American Midwest Conference Setter of the Week for women's volleyball for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1. In the Cougars two matches last week, Zhe totaled 75 assists, averaging 12.5 per game. Zhe also recorded 13 digs, three service aces and seven kills, leading Columbia College to victories over two NCAA Division II institutions, including Rockhurst College, who is currently ranked #24 in NCAA Division II competition. With the two victories, Columbia College recorded the first undefeated season in school history.

Specialist of the Week - Dominique Savage,
Columbia College

[Columbia, MO] - Dominique Savage, a 6-0 middle hitter for the Columbia College Cougars, has been named the American Midwest Conference Specialist of the Week for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1. Savage dominated on the frontline for the Cougars last week, putting down 18 kills in only 35 attack attempts. In addition, Savage averaged 1.67 blocks per game for the Cougars, who head into post-season play ranked #1 in the NAIA competition.
Also nominated: Kelly Suess, McKendree College.
