Player of the Week - Mariuska Hamilton, Columbia College

Columbia, MO - Mariuska Hamilton, a senior middle hitter for the Columbia College Cougars, is the AMC women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 25 through Oct. 31.   Columbia College, ranked #1 in the NAIA top 25 poll, wrapped up its regular-season versus Peru State University last week. Hamilton led the Cougars attack at the net, recording 12 kills in only 20 attempts. In addition, Hamilton, who hails from Edo Bolivar, Venezuela, logged 1.33 blocks and 3.0 digs per game, as the Cougars routed Peru State, 15-6, 15-4, 15-1. The Cougars have yet to lose a game or a match in 1999. The teams' streaks stand at 87 games and 29 matches.

Setter of the Week - Jessica Evans, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, MO - Jessica Evans, the setter for the Missouri Baptist Spartans, is the AMC women's volleyball Setter of the Week for the week of Oct. 25 through Oct. 31. Evans led the Spartans to a 2-1 record last week. The St. Louis native totaled 140 assists, averaging 12.72 a game. In addition, Evans proved to be a defensive stopper for Missouri Baptist, recording 32 digs for an average of 2.91 per contest. She also racked up seven service aces on the week.

Specialist of the Week -Michelle Sievers, Missouri Baptist College

Columbia, MO - Michelle Sievers, a senior defensive specialist for the Missouri Baptist College Spartans, is the AMC women's volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week of Oct. 25 through Oct. 31. Sievers totaled 32 digs in 11 games last week, averaging 3.2 per contest. In addition, the Pacific, Mo. native recorded 3.0 passes per game, logging a near-perfect 97 percent accuracy rate.
