- Stephanie Sebacher, a junior middle hitter for the William Woods University Owls, is the
AMC women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.
The Jonesburg, Mo. native led the Owls to the semifinals of the AMC tournament last week,
racking up 29 kills in 57 attempts, for an average of 4.83 per game. In addition, in WWU's
six games, Sebacher totaled two services aces, seven digs and five total blocks. For her
efforts in the regular-season, Sebacher was recently named to the 1999 All-Conference
First Team in a vote by league coaches. Setter of the Week - Deng Yang, Columbia College Columbia, MO
- Deng Yang, the setter for the Columbia College Cougars, is the AMC women's volleyball
Setter of the Week for the week of Nov. 1 through Nov. 7. The 6-2 setter led the Cougars
to the 1999 AMC Tournament Championship last week, recording 78 assists in six games, for
an average of 13.0 per contest. Yang, who hails from Chang Zhou, China, also added five
kills in nine attempts, five digs and four total blocks. For her efforts throughout the
regular-season, Yang was named the AMC's Most Valuable Player in women's volleyball for
1999. Specialist of the Week -No players nominated. |
